Abstract

The United States and Russia are drafting a new constitution for Syria, in consultation with the regime, without the consent of the Syrian people. With this, the U.S. government has put itself firmly on the side of counterrevolution. International attention is focused on Syrians as victims. But rarely are they presented as a people with agency, willing and able to reflect on their plight or to determine their own fate. Ahmad sheds light on these stories of resistance.
