Rubby Dhunpath is the Director of Teaching and Learning at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and Honorary Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at UKZN.

André du Toit is Emeritus Professor of Political Studies at the University of Cape Town.

Norman Etherington AM, is Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Western Australia, and President of the National Trust of South Australia. Due this year are Big Game Hunter: the life of Frederick Courteney Selous, and Imperium of the Soul: the political and aesthetic imagination of Edwardian imperialists.

Bill Freund is Emeritus Professor of Economic History at the University of KwaZulu-Natal where he was Head of the Department of Economic History and Development Studies at the University of Natal until 2004.

Jeff Guy, until his death in 2014, had been Professor Emeritus in History at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. A prolific author his books included The Destruction of the Zulu Kingdom, and biographies of Bishop John William Colenso and of his daughter Harriette Colenso.
