  • Editor’s Note

This is a very special issue of the AJTP, as you can see from the Table of Contents. It honors two of the most prominent and well respected scholars working today at the intersection of American philosophy and theology, Nancy Frankenberry and Robert Corrington. The AJTP is fortunate to be affiliated with both of these esteemed scholars and to publish articles on their work that mark important occasions in their careers. The articles by Robert Neville and Terry Godlove, and the response by Frankenberry, are based on papers given on the occasion of Frankenberry’s recent retirement from Dartmouth College. In addition to celebrating Frankenberry’s contributions to the field, we expect that these articles will be useful to those many scholars who have been influenced by her work. We are also grateful to Leon Niemoczynski, who solicited and edited the articles on Corrington’s ecstatic naturalism. Each of these articles began as a paper delivered at the 2015 International Congress on Ecstatic Naturalism. As guest editor for the second half of this issue, Niemoczynski provides a helpful brief introduction to the articles by Nicholas Guardiano, Jea Sohia Oh, Demian Wheeler, and Guy Woodward. Happy reading! [End Page 1]
