On a Ghost of Historiography Past

Prompted by a recent debate in this journal over Zeitgeist historiography, the author supports the position of Linda Dalrymple Henderson that only a causal connection between art and science is a valid methodological position. Drawing on some specific historical case studies, the author presents several arguments against Zeitgeist historiography.
