Abstract

The author discusses the work of M.K. Čiurlionis, a Lithuanian musical composer and painter who lived in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Although historians recognize that music influenced some of the composer’s paintings, the author argues that all of Čiurlionis’s work is based on or influenced by elements of classical musical composition.
