Abstract
The author shares his impressions of and affections for the people and places along the historic Silk Roads in northern China. A geographically, culturally and archaeologically rich locale, the Silk Roads have been a major source of inspiration for many of the author’s paintings and sketches since his first visit to the region in 1975.
