This author describes his journey from two-dimensional art forms involving the ideas of ‘space’ and ‘place’ to his current medium, which involves the translation of landscapes into musical sound-pattern compositions. These compositions, when transmitted in the form of microwaves, remain in deep space for millennia. The transmissions attract many participants and have become spectacles of sound, poetry, dance and performance.
