In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

  • A Welcome to Canadian Association for Work and Labour Studies (Cawls) Members

I would like to pass on the following announcement from Greg Kealey in his capacity as treasurer of the Canadian Committee on Labour History. We look forward to featuring articles by our cawls partners in our next issue.

Sean Cadigan

Discerning readers of our front matter will have noted that Labour/le Travail (l/lt) has a new affiliation. We welcome cawls into the Canadian Committee on Labour History (cclh) family. l/lt is now a co-publication of cclh and Athabasca University Press, in affiliation with cawls. As a result of this new affiliation agreement, cawls members will receive subscriptions to l/lt as part of their membership package and cclh members will receive a discount on cawls membership fees. We look forward to our new and closer working relationship with cawls. Readers should expect an increase in our ongoing commitment to interdisciplinarity and to our coverage of contemporary issues concerning workers and the labour movement.
