OK Research, OK Genetic Engineering, Bad Information: Information Art Describes Technology

The author forms companies to collect technical information. The information is used as iconography in experimental books, installations, performances, files and other art which examines the role of technology in our culture. The paper discusses the meaning of technical information and describes three projects: OK Research, which collected and used all kinds of technical information, OK Genetic Engineering, which was an investigation of the biotechnology industry, and Bad Information, which collected and used information about the computer industry.
