Abstract

The author examines the question of how an artist’s ideas are expressed in a work of art. His ‘logical landscapes’ are pictures in which abstract principles determine the organization of the composition. Additionally, he explores ways of expressing certain notional oppositions, such as chaos/cosmos, constancy/change, visibility/invisibility, by seeking equivalents in concrete elements.
