The Organization of Artists’ Work in the U.S.S.R.

The author describes the aims, organization and activities of the Union of Artists of the U.S.S.R. The procedure for election to membership of the Union, the position of non-Union artists, the way artists receive compensation for their work, the social security provided to artists and the assistance given to artists to pursue their work are explained.
