The Global Catholic Church and the Radical Possibilities of #BlackLivesMatter

Although Black people constitute approximately one-fourth of the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics, racial justice remains an elusive priority and goal of the global church. This essay briefly examines the challenges of racial justice reform in the twenty-first-century church and considers the radical possibilities of worldwide Catholic engagement with #BlackLivesMatter.
