Kiera Allison is a doctoral candidate in the English Department at the University of Virginia and a former three-years’ Fellow of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. Her dissertation, “Scanning for Silence: Psychoanalytic Listening from Keats to Freud,” attempts to reconstruct the extended post-Romantic (and more broadly post-Renaissance) literary and scientific history behind Freud’s clinical praxis

John Holmes is Associate Professor in English Literature at the University of Reading. He is the author of Dante Gabriel Rossetti and the Late Victorian Sonnet Sequence (Ashgate, 2005) and Darwin’s Bards: British and American Poetry in the Age of Evolution (Edinburgh University Press, 2009), and the editor of Science in Modern Poetry: New Directions (2012). He is currently completing a monograph on the relationship between Pre-Raphaelite art and poetry and the scientific culture of Victorian England.

Monica Smith Hart is Associate Professor of English and Director of Writing Programs at West Texas A&M University, where her research and teaching focus on Romantic and Victorian poetry. Her publications include essays on Charlotte Smith, Ann Yearsley, and Kate Chopin.

Simon Rennie completed his Ph.D. on the poetry of Ernest Jones at the University of Leeds in 2013. His monograph on the same subject, The Poetry of Ernest Jones: Myth, Song, and the ‘Mighty Mind’, is due to be published by Legenda Press in November 2015 (http://www.legendabooks.com/titles/isbn/9781909662902.html). Simon Rennie has taught long nineteenth-century literature at several universities in the North of England and currently teaches at the University of Huddersfield.

Patricia Rigg teaches Victorian literature at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada. She has published books and essays on Robert Browning and Augusta Webster, as well as essays on A. Mary F. Robinson, who is the subject of a current book project. [End Page 101]
