The Canadian Linguistic Association, which has as its aim the promotion of the study of languages and linguistics in Canada, was founded 60 years ago in 1955 and the present issue thus begins volume 60 of the Canadian Journal of Linguistics, a real achievement worth noting, since not all periodicals in the humanities and the social sciences have survived that long.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Christina Thiele for her professionalism, attention to detail, and diligence. She has been our typesetter for 32 years and is a pillar of the journal.
I would like to thank Arsalan Kahnemuyipour from the University of Toronto for his excellent work as Book Review Editor. His term now completed, he is replaced by Heather Newell from UQAM, who is our new Book Review Editor. Welcome to her!
I would also like to welcome two new members on the Editorial Board: Heidi Harley (University of Arizona) and Hamida Demirdache (University of Nantes). Both have kindly accepted our invitation.
Finally, I would like to thank Brandon J. Fry for all the work that he is doing for the journal as Editorial Assistant. [End Page 99]

L’Association canadienne de linguistique, qui a pour but de promouvoir l’étude des langues et de la linguistique au Canada, a été fondée il y a 60 ans en 1955 et le numéro que vous avez entre les mains débute donc le volume 60 de la Revue canadienne de linguistique, une véritable réussite qui mérite d’être signalée, puisque toutes les revues dans les humanités ou les sciences sociales n’ont pas survécu aussi longtemps.
J’aimerais profiter de cette occasion pour remercier Christina Thiele pour son professionnalisme, son sens du détail, et sa diligence. Elle est notre typographe depuis 32 années et est un pilier de la revue.
J’aimerais remercier Arsalan Kahnemuyipour de l’Université de Toronto pour son excellent travail en tant que Rédacteur des comptes rendus. Son mandat ayant touché à sa fin, il est remplacé par Heather Newell de l’UQAM, qui est notre nouvelle Rédactrice des comptes rendus. Bienvenue à elle !
