Abstract

The article illustrates how Victoria Reicher positions her Russian-language writing in Israel on the continuum of the global Jewish diaspora. It provides interpretive frameworks for her self-publishing enterprise on LiveJournal. The discussion follows Reicher as a psychiatrist and a writer in the context of diverse modes of self-expression in online literary communities. While exploring the complexities of the genre of life writing on the Internet, the article traces dynamic changes in the perceptions of identity and sexuality as multiple and decentered and provides a glimpse into Reicher’s multifaceted creative universe.
