Jonathan W. White received his Ph.D. in U.S. History from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2008. His research focuses on politics and constitutionalism in the North during the Civil War, and he is currently completing a study of Union soldiers and politics, to be published by the Louisiana State University Press. Jonathon Free earned his B.A. in history from the University of Louisville, where he is currently finishing his M.A. thesis on community organizing efforts in Appalachia during the 1960s. Gregory Jason Bell is an assistant professor of American Studies at Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Czech Republic, and is a Ph.D. candidate in history at the University of Cincinnati. A native of Tampa, Florida, he lives currently with his wife and two children in the Czech Republic. Karim M. Tiro is associate professor of history at Xavier University. He is co-editor of Along the Hudson and Mohawk: The 1790 Journey of Count Paolo Andreani and a contributor to the forthcoming book, Strategy in the American Revolution: An International Approach.
