Training an Audience for the Arts

This article focuses on the role of a professor of theatre studies in a medium-sized university. Among the goals should be the development of an audience for the arts because of the structural effects of conserving dynamic public space for the future of the regions. In contributing to creating a thought-provoking milieu and training critical spectators, the university becomes, according to the author, more community oriented than business oriented.
