Interior Monologue in Malory

This article examines the places in Le Morte Darthur where interior monologue occurs. Each example of self-talk and the character’s subsequent response individualizes that character; more importantly, the audience can analyze the complex and sometimes diametrically opposed elements of chivalry revealed by such self-talk.
