  • Announcements

We at the Journal of Women’s History are preparing for the upcoming departure of two efficient and energetic managing editors, Deneil Hill and Tiffany Baugh-Helton. Next academic year, Deneil will be doing archival research for her PhD dissertation titled “Shifting Feminist Visions at the UN: Self-Determination, Sexuality, and Human Rights, 1975–1995,” and, similarly, Tiffany, will begin her research on the relationship between women’s organizations and the state in Great Depression and World War II-era Detroit. We want to thank them for a year of dedicated and skillful collaborative work for the Journal.

We are also delighted to announce our new team! Chelsea Gibson, a second year PhD student in U.S. women’s history who studies America and the Russian Empire during the Progressive Era, and Sarah King, also in U.S. women’s history, who is researching celebrity activism in connection with social movements during the Vietnam War era. Chelsea and Sarah will assume position as the Journal’s new managing editors in the summer, 2014.

In addition, we are making a shift in book review assistant. Thanks to Kevin Vrevich, a student in U.S. colonial history who will be moving to Ohio State University to complete his PhD. He will be replaced by Laura Kipfer, a second year PhD student who studies gender and violence in Medieval Western Europe.

We all look forward to working with our new team! [End Page 200]
