In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

  • Errata and Corrigenda

In Northeast African Studies Volume 13, Issue 1, the author listing for the article “City as Nation: Imagining and Practicing Addis Ababa as a Modern and National Space” was incomplete. The author’s full name is Shimelis Bonsa Gulema.

In Northeast African Studies Volume 13, Issue 2, the author affiliation for Pierre Guidi, who co-wrote the introduction to the issue and authored the article “Wolaita Memories of Gärmame Nǝway Governorship (1958–1959): Radical Reforms and Political Consciousness” was incomplete and contained a typo. The author’s full affiliation is University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne/Centre d’études des mondes africains. In addition, there was a mistake in the abstract for this same article. The first sentence of this abstract should read:

Wolaita is a peripheral region in southwestern Ethiopia that came under Ethiopian state control in 1894.

[The print edition incorrectly lists the year 1896.]

In Northeast African Studies Volume 13, Issue 2, there are a number of transliteration mistakes in the print edition of the article “Spies, Secrets, and a Story Waiting to be (Re)Told: Memories of the 1924 Revolution and the Racialization of Sudanese History,” by Elena Vezzadini. The electronic edition has been updated with the corrected diacritics. [End Page 170]
