The JHP Board of Directors awards an annual prize of $5,000 for the best published book in the history of philosophy. on the Board’s behalf, I am pleased to announce that the winner of the prize for 2013 is Jan A. Aertsen’s Medieval Philosophy as Transcendental Thought from Philip the Chancellor (ca. 1225) to Francisco Suarez (Brill, 2012).

The JHP Board of Directors also awards an annual prize of $1,500 for the best contribution to the Articles section of the Journal. On the Board’s behalf, I am pleased to announce that the winner of the ninth-annual prize is Andrew Roche’s “Transcendental Idealism: A Proposal” (vol. 51, no. 4: 589–616). [End Page iv]
