In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

  • Errata

The following editorial errors appeared in the research note by Albert Kaganovitch, “Estimating the Numbers of Jewish Refugees, Deportees, and Draftees from Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina in the Non-Occupied Soviet Territories,” Holocaust and Genocide Studies 27, no. 3:

  • • On p. 468, second and third sentences of the first full paragraph, two numbers were transposed. The lines should read: “Assuming that the number of Jews among these was relatively small (perhaps no more than 5,000), one may assume, continuing the foregoing statistical discussion, that as a result of the 1940 border changes the number of Jews in Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina increased by at least 100,000, of whom perhaps 80,000 went to Bessarabia and 20,000 to Northern Bukovina. As a result, the number of Jews in the latter territory reached perhaps 95,000.”

  • • On page 469, the second sentence of the third full paragraph should begin: “According to the official History of the Moldavian SSR (1955). . . .

  • • On page 477, the first line of the author’s biography should read: “Albert Kaganovitch is the author of “The Mashhadi Jews (Djedids) in Central Asia” (2007), The Long Life and Swift Death of Jewish Rechitsa: A Community in Belarus, 1625–2000 (2013), and Reluctant Friends: Russia and the Bukharan Jews, 1900–1917 (forthcoming).
