Léonel Jules

Léonel Jules, a Haitian by birth, has lived most of his life in Canada as a painter and studied fine arts at the Université du Québec. He has exhibited his work in a number of galleries and museums in such countries as Germany, United States, Canada, Haiti, and Switzerland. For his paintings, he has won the 1985 Gold Medal, Visual Art National Competition; and the 1989 Canadian Painters Award, Montreal. For 2004–2005, he received a Creation grant from SODAC.
