Editor’s Note

We are most grateful to Professor Ignacio Arellano of the Department of Philology at the Universidad de Navarra (Pamplona) and director of the Grupo de Investigación Siglo de Oro (GRISO), who coordinated this special number of Bulletin of the Comediantes on burlesque drama. We applaud the goals and accomplishments of GRISO. Professor Arellano has recruited a most distinguished group of scholars and researchers to participate in the project. We are extremely happy that the journal can count on the contributions of these international theater specialists: Ignacio Arellano, Esther Borrego Gutiérrez, Elena de Pinto, Andrés Eichmann Oehrli, Juan Manuel Escudero Baztán, Rafael González Cañal, Abraham Madroñal, and Carlos Mata Induráin.
