This 1882 amendment to the Constitution of 1864 again raised the maximum allowable pay for the elected members of the legislature (the maximum pay had been raised once before in 1868). Besides this raise in maximum pay, the amendment included minor changes for Article 56 in punctuation (Hawaiian and English versions) and in wording (Hawaiian version).
