Cara Blue Adams announced her departure from The Southern Review this summer to pursue writing and teaching. We wish her well in those and all other regards. It would be wrong, however, not to note that her work with the journal extends beyond her tenure, as she had accepted prose for issues through summer 2014 before her departure. For this Louisiana-style lagniappe from a Vermont native, then, and for many other things, we thank her even as we bid her farewell.
