A simple human capital model of migration and fertility is designed in an attempt to analyze the interrelations between rural-urban migration and fertility. The model utilizes a "reproduction function" in which realized births depend on both the preferences of parents and the supply of births (i.e., fecundity). The model implies that migrants will not be randomly self-selected with respect to fecundity. Further, rural-urban differences in prices and incomes are shown to influence the fertility behavior of migrants.
