Sladja Blazan is Assistant Professor of English & American Studies at Universität Würzburg (Germany) and author of American Fictionary, Ghosts, Stories, Histories, and other work. She is writing a monograph on ghostly figures in American literature and culture around 1800.

Jerome Tharaud is A.W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is completing a book manuscript, “Evangelical Space: Art, Experience, and the Ethical Landscape in America, 1820–1860.”

Anita Durkin holds a Ph.D. in American Literature from the University of Rochester. Her work has appeared in African American Review and in essay collections. She is completing a book on aesthetics and the 19th-century novel.

Timo Müller is Assistant Professor of English at the Universität Augsburg (Germany). He has published on modernism, ecocriticism, and African American literature and is working on a study of the African American sonnet.

Maria Cristina Iuli teaches American Literature at the University of Eastern Piedmont and is American Studies Master at the University of Turin. She specializes in American Modernism, Literary Theory, Literature and Science and Systems Theory.

Steven Norton is a Ph.D. student at the University of Oregon with interests in film and critical theory.

Julián Jiménez Heffernan is Professor of English and Comparative literature at the Universidad de Córdoba (Spain). His essays have appeared in Contemporary Literature, Victorian Literature and Culture, Research in African Literatures, Novel, and Textual Practice.
