Abstract

This article briefly discusses the life of Marie Dentière (or d'Ennetières) and the contribution which she made to the Reformation in Switzerland. It looks at some of the claims which were made about her by male writers and which, it seems, were often aimed primarily at discrediting her and her achievements.
