Miodrag Pavlović

Miodrag Pavlovi&cacute (1928–), originally trained in medicine, published, Poems, his first collection of poetry in 1952. He was appointed director of drama at the National Theater in 1960 and served as editor at the Proseveta Publishing House for 20 years.

His literary opus includes 44 poetry collections, 2 of prose, 18 essays, 2 dramas, 3 anthologies, and 30 books in other languages (German, Italian, Rumanian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Czech, Hungarian, and English). Twice nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature, he was awarded the Struga Golden Wreath Award, and on his 80th birthday in 2008, the St. Sava Order.
