Foreplay is a labor of desire projected towards consummation: it is a precarious interval of potentiality for experimenting with forms of labor not yet recognized in the system of production. It is an idle theatre, persisting in its amateur nature as an act of love and hence subverting the time regime of capitalist evaluation.
