Abstract

Soren Forsberg takes on Colson Whitehead's new novel, Zone One. The zombie apocalypse is not a new metaphor for social relations gone sour, but instead of looking to the African American past for real world material, both Forsberg and Whitehead ask "what it's like to exist in a social reality where it doesn't matter whether we look back or not."
