The following graphic novel is meant to be an exploration of semiotic network narrative through which the reader becomes an author. The form of the graphic novel illuminates the code that runs beneath all of reality. Graphic novels have always been relational in structure. They push boundaries of the linear narrative by recreating them in the form of panels. Panels juxtaposed with panels require the reader to fill in the blanks. This text explores the influences that have impacted and continue to impact the graphic novel. These influences include such topics as the fourth dimension, semiotic code, info-aesthetics, and relational aesthetics. They are juxtaposed with educational theories of teaching and learning in the art education classroom. The understanding of these topics and their corresponding theoretical underpinnings provide for rich learning possibilities. In theory/practice, it could lead to a form of affective/effective communication that reformulates our understanding of the world.
