庞 培

Pang Pei 庞培 (1962-) was born in Suying, Jiangsu Province. After he completed junior high school, his family's economic circumstances compelled him to leave school. He first worked in shipyards and later in textile factories. In 1985, he published his first novel, and in 1988, his poems began to appear in newspapers and magazines. Affectionately known among his peers as the "Poet of the Rain," he is a recipient of the 1995 Liu Li'an Poetry Prize and the 1997 Rougang Poetry Award. He is the author of several collections of poetry and prose, including Whisper (1998), Book of Melancholy (2000), Three-Quarter Rain (2009), and Various Verses (2011).

Fiona Sze-Lorrain

Fiona Sze-Lorrain (1980-) was born in Singapore and educated at Columbia University, New York University, and Paris IV-Sorbonne, where she received a doctorate in French. She writes and translates in English, French, and Chinese. Her first collection of poetry, Water the Moon, was published in 2010. She is an editor at Cerise Press and Vif Éditions. Also a zheng concertist, she lives in Paris, France.
