This essay presents three adaptations of Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev that were written in Greek for children. It investigates the ways that the same story changes and develops at various given times from 1977 to 2006. Its main focus of interest is the alterations and adjustments the text undergoes so that it may better suit Greek cultural norms and Greek children’s literature.
