In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

  • Guidelines for Submissions

Submissions of 5,000-7,500 words should be sent for consideration to the editor in electronic form, either as e-mail attachments (to dhaase@wayne.edu) or on CD-ROM (to Donald Haase, Department of Classical and Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures, Wayne State University, Detroit, MI 48202, USA). Only original articles that are not simultaneously under consideration by another journal will be considered. Send queries to the editor at the above e-mail or postal address, by fax (313-577-6243), or by telephone (313-577-3002).

Style: Submissions must be prepared according to the third edition of the MLA Style Manual and use parenthetical documentation with a list of works cited. They must be double-spaced, including all quotations, endnotes, and the list of works cited. Submissions should be prepared for anonymous review (i.e., without any reference to the author's identity).

Electronic Submission: Authors whose work is accepted for publication must submit the following three items prepared on a common word-processing program such as Microsoft Word or as an RTF (rich text format) file: (1) copy of the final manuscript (5,000-7,500 words), (2) a one-hundred-word abstract, and (3) a brief biographical note (50 words).

Permissions for Copyrighted Materials: For contributions that include any copyrighted materials, the author must secure written permission (specifying "nonexclusive world rights and electronic rights") to reproduce them. Permission fees are the responsibility of the author.

Reviews: Books and other media for review and all inquiries regarding reviews should be addressed to the review editor: Cristina Bacchilega, Department of English, University of Hawai'i, Mānnoa, Honolulu, HI 96822, USA (fax: 808-956-3083; e-mail: cbacchi@hawaii.edu). [End Page 202]
