EDITOR'S LETTER Review contributors are reminded that they should be current RMMLA members. Since the reviews are an integral part of the journal, manuscripts will be examined with the same scrutiny accorded essay submissions. All contributors would save the editorial staff considerable work if they would follow the recommendations of major style sheets (with some local idiosyncracies, our choice is the Chicago Manual o/ Style). Although all submissions are subject to editorial changes, because of inadequate secretarial support, we will clear only major changes with authors. Please remember to return proof within a week of receipt: we cannot hold an issue up because of tardy returns. If you have a submission pending and plan to be away for the summer or a sabbatical leave, please make appropriate arrangements so that your proof can be forwarded to you. The Rocky Mountain Modern Language Association especially encourages membership of graduate students, who may join for the special rate of $8.00 dues per year. Graduate student members enjoy full membership rights, including receipt of the Rocky Mountain Review and the opportunity to appear on the program of the annual meeting. The RMMLA office would like to take this opportunity to thank the following individuals for their contributions to the success of the annual meeting in Boise: Carol Martin, chair of the committee for local arrangements; Orv Burmaster and Helen Lojek, registration; Charles Davis and Carol Rinnert, special events; Lonnie Willis, book display; James Hadden, audiovisual aids; A. Thomas Trusky, printing and publicity. Our special thanks to Boise State University President Dr. John K. Keiser for his fine support. ...
