RMMLA Best Feminist Essay Award The judges for the RMMLA "Best Feminist Essay" award are pleased to announce that the winner for 1990 is Janis Tedesco, of Spokane, WA, for "Amelia Lanier: Gender and the Country House Genre," a paper delivered in the English Seventeenth- and Eighteenth-Century Literature section. Tedesco will receive a $25 cash award. The award is funded by seed money from the MLA Women's Caucus. This award marks the fourth year ofthe contest. Winners in the past were Jeannie Moore of San Diego State University, Evelyn Gajowski of the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Kay Stanton of California State University, Fullerton. The contest is held each fall immediately after the RMMLA Conference. Persons interested in entering should submit a paper they have read at the fall RMMLA conference.
