Her book on the cultural poetics of Marie de France's Fables is forthcoming from l'Harmattan Press. Kathleen Glasgow will be a graduate student in the MFA program in writing at the University of Pittsburgh in Fall 1997. Stan Goldman is the author of Melville's Protest Theism (De KaIb: Northern Illinois University Press, 1993). He is a visiting scholar at the University of Louisville. Jeff Friedman's second collection of poetry, Scattering the Ashes, will be published by Carnegie Mellon University Press in 1998. His poems have appeared in the American Poetry Review, Poetry, the Antioch Review, and New England Review. Patricia Y. Ikeda is a writer and editor in Oakland, California. The recipient of the 1997 RMMLA/Huntington Award, he is an associate professor of English at the University of Texas at El Paso. Terry L. Spaise is a lecturer and ESL Director for the Department of English at the University of California at Riverside.
