In fishnets her gams caught
any sucker she'd want.

        *

The alley fills with bottles & dice
clinking like sidebets, whisky on ice.

        *

win, tails I lose.

        *

the sailor gets inked: Mother.

        *

I got motion sick.

        *

Dusk finds the sandlot empty
as a cage, outfielders flown away

        *

except for the third-hand jacket
warming home plate.

        *

My billboard forehead,
her name all over it.
