Abu Talib Ahmad teaches Southeast Asian and Japanese history at the School of Humanities, Universiti Sains Malaysia. He is Professor of Southeast Asian history and dean of the School of Humanities. His research interests include the Japanese Occupation of Southeast Asia and museums and memorial in Malaysia and the ASEAN region.
Mohamad Rashidi Pakri BA (Hons) University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, MA Universiti Sains Malaysia, PhD, Universiti Malaya is a Senior Lecturer of English at the School of Humanities, Universiti Sains Malaysia. His major interest is Malaysian colonial literature. Email address: rashidi@usm.my.
Nathan Porath is an anthropologist who received his PhD from Leiden University. He has carried out research in both Riau (Sumatra) and the three southern provinces of Thailand. His research interests also include Malay–Other relations, medical anthropology, Orang Asli and issues relating to Thailand. E-mail address: nathanporath@yahoo.co.uk.
Holger Warnk is the librarian of the Southeast Asian Studies library of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University Frankfurt. He teaches Southeast Asian Studies as part-time lecturer at the universities of Frankfurt and Passau.
