With this issue, we introduce a new section of the journal, "Discussion," in which we shall publish contributions addressing timely concerns. All materials published here will be subject to peer review and assessment of factual accuracy. We invite readers to make submissions. Like the "Philologica," this section will appear on an occasional basis, when we have suitable material to publish. And as with the "Book Reviews" section, we shall post prepublication versions of these materials on the journal Web site. Also on the journal Web site, we have added a new section for "Letters to the Editor." We encourage your comments and will endeavor to post them in a timely fashion. Submissions for all materials and letters may be sent to nietzsche@hunter.cuny.edu.

The first set of contributions to this new section of the journal originated in an unsolicited manuscript by Professor Mark Anderson. The nature of the primary points of discussion and the required documentation led us to subject this submission to extra scrutiny, including blind review by multiple peers and review by the entire editorial board. The New York editorial and book review staff are especially grateful to board members for their guidance and direction in the evaluation of these materials. We are also grateful to Professor Julian Young and Mr. Daniel Blue for their participation and commentary. We believe that the materials are of special interest in the context of the philological and methodological issues raised in the current issue.

Finally, this issue marks the last one for which Professor Paul S. Loeb will serve as book review editor. As readers will surely know, he has made tremendous contributions to the journal by raising the quantity and quality of the reviews we are able to publish. We are all truly in his debt for his service. I look forward to introducing our new book review editor in the next issue. Meanwhile, correspondence pertaining to reviews should be sent to the general editorial e-mail address: nietzsche@hunter.cuny.edu. [End Page 3]
