THE QUAESTIO DE RELATIONE ATTRIBUTED TO WILLIAM OCKHAM We present in the following pages the hitherto unedited text of the Quaestio de Relatione attributed to William Ockham. It has been prepared from the one ms. copy known to exist and found in the Basel University collection. As far as we are able to trace it back, Little1 was one of the first to mention the existence of this ms., presumably using Haenel2 as his source. Doncoeur3 had occasion to refer to it, and a few years later Hochstetter4 gave a brief description of it in his work on the Metaphysics of Ockham. Still later, Fr. Boehner, O.F.M.,5 edited portions of the ms., which were to constitute the first two volumes of Franciscan Institute Publications (Philosophy Series). It may be well, at this point, to give a more complete description of the codex than Dr. Hochstetter intended. Our description is as follows: Basel. Univ. Bibl. lat. F. II. 24, ff. 48. Late (?) XIVth cent, cursive hand, vellum, two columns. 4°. 1. Tractatus Ockham, de Successivis. a.—Fol. 2ra. Superscription: Tractatus occam de motu.
