Abstract

GRAHAME RENYK and JENN STEPHENSON of the drama department at Queen's University discuss their use of the ICE method in a first-year theatre studies classroom. Although Renyk and Stephenson use ICE for assessment, here they explore how the technique can be employed in assignment design, challenging learners to take both initiative and pleasure in their own learning.
