The Beautiful Unicorn

[Political Children's Theater in the Age of Globalization]

Fourth Grade Student Lucy Craft Laney Elementary School

One day I came across a beautiful unicorn. It looked at me in a strange way. I thought it was harmless so I gently sat on its cuddly back.

The unicorn waved its twisted horn, and before I knew it, I was sitting on myself. The unicorn had traded bodies with me; it was magical!! I was so scared. The unicorn that was me went to the mall until it closed. I ran home frightfully, looked in the mirror and saw the unicorn. I screamed at the top of my lungs. I shrieked so long that there wasn't anymore air left in my body. I went to school and everybody screamed loudly. I hid lonesomely in the dusty closet all day. I did math, symmetrical art, and had a spelling test. I have a friend named Alicha who loves unicorns. So with out knowing it was me, she helped me with my work. My friend is very smart so I got all my work correct.

The next day I saw my human body playing in the forest. I waved my head and in 60 seconds, I was in my human body. Then I saw the unicorn as it triumphantly galloped away. So, we both lived happily ever after.
