THE NEW EDITOR Civil War History is pleased to announce the appointment of John T. Hubbell as editor, effective September 1, 1965, to succeed Robert R Dykstra, who has relinquished the editorship to join the history faculty at the University of New Mexico. Although Dr. Dykstra's name appears for the last time as editor in this issue, he joins the distinguished group which comprises the Editorial Advisory Board. The scholarship, judgment, and experience of the new editor give assurance that the journal will continue in accordance with the highest standards of excellence .
