Announcements The editor would like to thank the following people for advice and assistance in evaluating manuscripts for recent issues of the George Herbert Journal: Roberts W. French, Frank L. Huntley, Bridget Geliert Lyons, Leah S. Marcus, John Ottenhoff, Ted-Larry Pebworth, Jonathan F.S. Post, Robert H. Ray, John T. Shawcross, and Claude J. Summers. In addition, production of this issue of the George Herbert Journal was greatly aided by the cooperation of Virginia Zie and Nancy Belanger of the Sacred Heart University Art Department. There will be a Special Session on George Herbert's Theology: Nearer Rome or Geneva? at the MLA convention. This session, chaired by Kenneth Hovey, will meet on December 29 at 10:1511 :30 AM in the Sullivan Room of the Marriott Hotel. The program will include the following papers: 1."Between Consubstantiation and Memorialism: Sacramental Physiology in "The H. Communion,' " Donald Dickson, Texas A & M University. 2."Things Fundamental or Indifferent: Adiaphorism in 'Lent,' " Daniel W. Doerksen, University of New Brunswick. 3."Both Catholic and Protestant: To all Angels and Saints' as Doctrinal Crux," Andrew Harnack, Eastern Kentucky University. The respondent for the session will be Richard Strier, University of Chicago. Volume X of the George Herbert Journal will be a special double-issue dedicated to the memory of Amy M. Charles. ...
