Ron Akehurst moved that we not only swap journals with CIDO but make its director, François Pic, an honorary member of the Society to repay his generosity to visiting American scholars. Respectfully submitted, Sarah Spence Secretary Pro Tern Call for Papers for the 1989 Annual Session Beginning with the 1989 annual session, to be held again in Kalamazoo in conjunction with the International Congress on Medieval Studies, the Society's new Vice-President, Hans-Erich Keller, will assume responsibility for organizing the annual sessions, which will henceforth bear the title "Studia Occitanica." Those wishing to submit a paper for the 1989 session should contact Professor Keller (Department ofRomance Languages, Ohio State University, Columbus , OH 43210) before September 15, 1988. New Initiatives In accordance with the decisions taken at the May 1988 business meeting, the following initiatives have been undertaken. Any memberofthe Society whopossesses a microfilm copy ofan Occitan manuscript and who is prepared to place that copy at the disposal of other members of the Society (either through a loan, a microfilm copy, or a papercopy) should send full particulars (includingthecompletemanuscriptreference andtheconditionsunderwhich the microfilm would be made available) to the Secretary-Treasurer, who will publish this information in Tenso. The Secretary-Treasurer would welcome suggestions of small Occitan journals not normally held in American university libraries with which the Society might establish exchange agreements. The tables of contents of these journals will be published in Tenso and copies of material from them will be made available to the membership , a practice that is begun in this issue (see below). 100ANNOUNCEMENTS The Editor-in-Chief of Tenso would like to hear from members who would be interested in preparing book reviews ofcontemporary Occitan fiction shouldtheopportunityarise.
