Ha coránica A Journal of Medieval Spanish Language, Literature & Cultural Studies INTERNATIONAL BOOKAWARD The La corónica International Book Award is an annual prize for the best monograph published on medieval Iberian language, literature and cultural studies. The Award is announced each May at die International Congress of Medieval Studies held at Western Michigan University, and a special session is convoked during die following year's Congress to honor the recipient and advance die diemes ofhis or her research, die honorée serving as principal respondent. A cash prize, an engraved pewter canister, and a certificate accompany the Award. Anthologies of studies by multiple audiors, collections of previously published articles, teaching tools, popularizations of medieval life, data bases, non-critical editions and creative works of fiction or verse are not eligible for this award. Submission of entries can be made by audiors, their publishers, their academic institutions, or their colleagues by sending diree copies of the book to die Editor of La corónica by October 1 each year for a book bearing an imprint from the previous year (e.g., submissions by October 1, 2006 for books published in 2005).
