Contributors Alfred de Zayas, JD (Harvard University), DPhil. (University of Göttingen), has practiced law in both New York and Florida. He worked for twenty-two years as a human-rights lawyer with the United Nations and has been a visiting professor of law at DePaul University College of Law (1993/1994), the University of British Columbia (2003), and the Institut Universitaire de Hautes Études Internationales (2004). Since 2005 he has held the posts of Professor of Law at the Geneva School of Diplomacy and Professor of International Relations at Schiller International University, Leysin. Dr. De Zayas is a member of the Conseil scientifique of the Académie internationale du droit constitutionnel; author of five books, and editor of several more; and president of P.E.N. International, Centre Suisse romand. Elizabeth More, AM, is Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development and External Relations) at Macquarie University and has been deputy vice-chancellor of the University of Canberra, director of the Graduate School of Management, chair of the Academic Senate at Macquarie University, and managing director of the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) Pty Ltd. She has qualifications in humanities, management, and law. She has published widely on organizational change, communication, and culture. Her current research focuses on communication and knowledge management, inter-organizational collaboration, international law, and management. William A. Schabas is director of the Irish Centre for Human Rights at the National University of Ireland, Galway, where he also holds the chair in human-rights law. Professor Schabas is the author of Introduction to the International Criminal Court, 2nd ed. (Cambridge University Press, 2004); Genocide in International Law (Cambridge University Press, 2000); The Abolition of the Death Penalty in International Law, 3rd ed. (Cambridge University Press, 2003); and The UN International Criminal Tribunals: Former Yugoslavia, Rwanda and Sierra Leone (Cambridge University Press, 2006). His writings have been translated into several languages, including Russian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Persian, and Albanian. Professor Schabas is editor-in-chief of Criminal Law Forum, the quarterly journal of the International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law. He was appointed to Sierra Leone’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission in May 2002, and was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2006. Professor Schabas is also a member of the Royal Irish Academy. David Scheffer is Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw/Robert A. Helman Professor of Law and director of the Center for International Human Rights at the Northwestern University School of Law. He is a former US Ambassador at Large for War Crimes Issues (1997–2001).
